The 2024-2025 Opening and Membership Coffee was filled with shades of purple and bright and shining stars. Event co-chairs, Kimery Overman and Janet Amburn-Harpe led the planning and orchestrated a fun-filled event exploring the heavenly stars supporting the President’s Theme – Be an Ossoli Star. The event was well-attended without an empty seat in the house. There were over twenty invited guests present. The program included a brief Ossoli Circle history, fellowship moment, and an introduction of guests by their sponsor. These activities were followed by defining the foundational “STARS” of Ossoli programing and community service. Each table identified an area of Ossoli community service involvement such as: 2024 President’s Project, Arts and Culture, Heath and Wellness, Education and Libraries, Civic Engagement, Advocates for Children, Domestic Awareness, Environment, and Women’s History Preservation.

Following the guided tour of our galaxy, a marvelous salad bar with a great variety of salads was enjoyed by all guests. An ice cream sundae bar topped off a wonderful day before all said their goodbyes until next Monday, September 16, 2024 for the first regular club meeting. We hope to see you on the 16th.
