Ossoli Circle Celebrates Presidents Day and Honors Past Leadership
Ossoli Circle proudly honored its current president, Jan Coley, along with 14 past presidents in attendance at a special Presidents Day celebration. The event, thoughtfully planned by Jo Webb and Linda Williams, was held on December 15 in the historic Ossoli Circle Clubhouse, beautifully decorated for Christmas in an elegant 1930s theme.
Presidents Day followed Ossoli Circle’s first Holiday Open House, marking the organization’s 140th anniversary. During the program, all past presidents were formally introduced and escorted by Dexter Jordan, while current President Jan Coley was escorted by her husband, Dr. Bob Coley.
Guests were delighted by a festive musical program presented by the Powell High School Singers, featuring holiday selections and beautifully arranged familiar favorites.
In a special moment, President-Elect Linda Williams presented Jan Coley with a stunning pendant featuring an image of the GFWC Ossoli Circle Clubhouse. Dexter Jordan was also recognized and presented with an annual Christmas gift in appreciation of his service.
Following the program, members and guests enjoyed a delicious holiday luncheon featuring HoneyBaked ham, smoked turkey, and traditional Christmas trimmings. The luncheon was prepared by Sherry Hillis and her committee, providing a warm and celebratory conclusion to a memorable event honoring Ossoli Circle’s leadership and legacy.
