Ossoli Circle House of Horrors, Replacement Benefit was on October 24, 2022 at the Ossoli Clubhouse.
Upon entering the clubhouse foyer, members were greeted by costumed ladies and an enticing bake sale. Once in the auditorium there was a drink assortment which included punch, water, ice tea, coffee, or wine. The luncheon tables were decked out with Halloween decorations and candy bars to munch. As the members mingled and greeted each other, all of their creative costumes were on display. Plastic spiders were used to vote for your favorite costumed person. Members choose between a multitude of witches, a spider, a pilgrim, a professor from Hogwarts, a gardener, or a joker. Everyone took a seat and a game of Bingo ensued. After Bingo was a Chico fashion show. Members of GFWC Ossoli Circle modeled the latest styles. Most were holiday party-worthy outfits with sequins, glitter, velvet and embossed materials. Beautiful soft ponchos and vests were highlighted. A delicious luncheon with baked chicken, rice medley, deviled eggs, rolls with parsley butter and honey carrots was served. For dessert the choices were apple pie or pumpkin pie. After lunch, a beautiful wreath was auctioned along with several other items. In addition, there was a silent auction. The party ended after the silent auction winners were announced. It was a lovely gathering that also moved us closer to our goal of replacing the clubhouse windows.
