GFWC Ossoli Circle Celebrates FEDERATION DAY

Members of GFWC Ossoli Circle gathered at the Ossoli historic clubhouse to celebrate Federation Day with a Birthday Party commemorating 135 years since the founding of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) in 1890. A tribute to the goals of the international organization was acknowledged by participating in a service project for the “Friends of the Smokies” ( Fundraising arm of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park). This was day 1 of a multi-day project to assemble over 600 favors for the upcoming Barn Party, a major fundraising event.

The day culminated with members making telephone calls to national policymakers for National Vaccination Call Day organized by Shot@Life. They requested support for international vaccination programs, Gavi, and the GFWC Measles Mission. Federation Day was a successful and a team building event for the Circle.
