I Love Ossoli Tea
On Monday, August 12, 2024, Ossoli Circle celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Ossoli Circle “Greens Tea” which is now known as the I Love Ossoli Circle Tea. The mother-in-law of President Sherry Hillis, Florence Hillis was the originator of the first “Greens Tea” which was held at her home. This year for the 40th tea Ossoli members returned to the Hillis home, Hillhouse. It was a wonderful day with a beautiful tea filled with memorabilia and memories of the ladies who helped to make Ossoli Circle the proud organization it is today.
The “Greens Tea” gives members who are able an opportunity to donate funds to Ossoli over and above their dues to help with the upkeep of the historic clubhouse. Currently we are having the rotten wood on the outside of the building repaired and we will continue to update the inside when the outside is completed. Wanda Taylor and Janie Bitner chaired the organization of the day. The entire Hillis family representing three generations were on hand to welcome members to Hillhouse and share Ossoli memories. Thank you to everyone who attended as well as those who brought lovely and delicious food items for the day. Sunflowers, with their smiling faces decorated the house and the grounds. Thank you to Joy Kelly for creating a lovely setting with beautiful flowers.
