The 128^th GFWC of TN Convention was held at the General Morgan Inn in Greenville, TN.  Ossoli Circle had ten members present who enjoyed a weekend of great speakers and wonderful meals.  President Kendra Walker Patty presided over the convention and First VP Jan Johnson had the privilege of presenting the awards.  The guest speaker for the convention was Shannon Baily, GFWC Director of Junior Clubs and her message focused on “Team Builiding/Building Momentum.” 

Ossoli Circle was honored to receive First place in Civic Engagement, GFWC Signature Program, Junior Special Projects, Communication, and recognition for the largest contribution to the GFWC of TN Endowment Fund plus many second-place recognition awards. 

Congratulations to Susie Kelley and Pamela Schwartz for two first place entries each in crafts and photography.  Susie entered a beautiful watercolor painting (from her time in our watercolor class) of her cat and a book for children she wrote and illustrated.  Pamela entered the photography contest, and these two entries will be entered in the National GFWC Photography Contest.  Good Luck to Pamela!

Lexa Hooten  was honored with a GFWC Tribute of Honor Award.  The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor those members who have given loyally, unselfishly and continuously to GFWC of Tennessee. Nineteen years later, Lexa still works hard, mentor’s new members and committee chairs, recruits new members, and faithfully attends meetings.  She portrays a true volunteer spirit and has the heart of a servant.
